SSC JE Application Form 2016 – 17

The Application of SSC JE 2016 – 17 will start from Oct 1,2016. Interested candidates will have to apply online. The SSC JE Application Form 2016 – 17 will be available:
  • Online Part 1 Registration
  • Online Part 2 Registration
Online Part 2 Registration – In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic information.
Online Part 2 Registration – Part II registration requires filling of payment details, uploading of photograph and scanned signature.

Payment of Application Fees

Candidates applying for SSC JE 2016 – 17 exam will have to make a payment of Rs 100 as their Application Fees. However, Payment of Application Fees is exempted for women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen (eligible for reservation). Application Fees can be paid through:
Online – SBI net banking/debit card/credit cards
Offline – Candidate should take print-out of challan generated online after completion of part I registration. Deposit the requisite fee in pay branch of State Bank of India and then continue with the Part II registration.

SSC JE Exam Cities 2016 – 17

The List of SSC JE Exam Cities 2016 – 17 has been released by SSC. A candidate must clearly indicate in the Application Form their preferences of exam centres. However, candidates will also have to submit their Application Form to the concerned Regional/Sub-Regional Office of the Commission under whose jurisdiction the centres indicated by him/her falls. A total of 38 exam centres have been selected by SSC for conducting SSC JE exam.

SSC JE Admit Card 2016 – 17

SSC will release the Admit Card for Paper 1 exam in the first week of December 2016. The direct link to download the Admit Card will be hosted on this page. The candidates qualifying the Paper 2 exam will be issued a separate Admit Card. The candidates can download their Admit Card in the following manner.

  • In the new window, they will have to enter their credentials.
  • Submitting the details, the Admit Card will appear on the screen of your computer.
  • Download the Admit Card and keep it safe.

SSC JE Syllabus 2016 – 17

The Syllabus of SSC JE provided here has been released by SSC. The Syllabus has been divided as per different subjects. The SSC JE Syllabus 2016-17 will help the candidates to prepare well for the exam. Candidates before starting their preparation should read the Syllabus thoroughly.

SSC JE Exam Pattern 2016 – 17

  • The Written Examination of SSC JE will comprise of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • Paper 1 will be objective type test comprising of 200 marks.
  • The Paper 1 will consist of subjects such as General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, General Engineering (Civil and Structural)/General Engineering (Electrical)/General Engineering (Mechanical)
  • The Paper 2 of SSC JE 2016 – 17 will be conventional type
  • The Paper 2 will carry 300 marks.
  • There will be three parts –Part A, Part B, Part C. Part-A General Engineering (Civil & Structural) OR Part- B General Engineering (Electrical) OR Part-C General Engineering (Mechanical). Candidates can choose from any of them as per the posts they have applied for.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have 10+2 (Senior Secondary) pass from a recognized Board/ University.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT), Computer Based Written Examination, Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Police Verification.

Instructions to Apply Online:
1. Before applying online candidates should have valid e mail & scanned copies of photograph, signature.
2. Log on through the website www.ssconline.nic
3. Select the desired post & Click on Apply
4. Fill the form in 2 Parts (Part-I Registration, Part-II Registration).
5. In Part I Registration, Candidates have to fill basic information carefully.
6. After filling the Part-I, If there is no need to make any corrections then Click on “I agree” button. Thereafter no correction/ modification etc will be allowed.
7. Registration No will be generated, Note down the registration number or take out the print out of the page.
8. In Part II registration candidates have to enter the payment details, upload the photograph & scanned signature.
9. Those who are exempted from payment of fee can skip that entering those fields.
10. Fill all the details carefully & Submit the form.
11. Now take printout of online application for future use.

Nationality
A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC JE 2016 Application Form

Applying for SSC JE – SSC JE application form will be available online only at the official website of SSC. Candidates need to fill both parts namely “Registration Part” and “Apply Part”.
Application Fee Payment – Candidates must pay the application fee of Rs. 100 which can be paid through online or offline mode. Female, SC, ST, PH and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the application fee.
  • Online Mode: Through SBI net banking/debit card/credit cards.
  • Offline Mode: Through SBI e-challan which has to be deposit at any branch of SBI.

SSC JE 2016 Selection Procedure

  • 1st Step: Written Examination (Paper 1) (Objective Type) (200 marks) (Online Mode)
  • 2nd Step: Written Examination (Paper 2) (Conventional Type) (300 marks) (Offline Mode)
Note: There is no interview.
In Case of Tie
In case more than one candidate secures the equal aggregates marks, tie will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another:
1) Marks in Paper-2
2) Marks in Paper-1
3) Who is senior according to the date of birth.
4) Alphabetical order in the first names of the candidates.

Note:
1. Those who qualify in the race event will be eligible to appear in the long jump and high jump events.
2. Three chances will be given to qualify in long jump and high jump events.
3. There shall be no appeal against disqualification in race, long jump & high jump, however, candidate may appeal against height and chest measurement on the same day of PE&MT before the Appellate Board.
4. There shall be no chest measurement for Female candidates. The candidature of female candidates who are pregnant at the time of PE&MT will be rejected as they cannot undergo the test. No appeal/representation will be entertained against such rejection.
5. Relaxation in height and chest (as the case may be) as mentioned above will be permissible only on production of certificate in the proforma as prescribed, from the competent authorities of the District where they ordinarily reside.
6. PE&MT will not carry any marks but will be of qualifying/elimination nature.
7. Use of drugs during Physical Endurance and Measurement test will lead to disqualification.
